After Graduating, I went up to Seattle Pacific College (University, now)...and met Rich Sims! Married n June of 1967, Rich graduated and went into Officers Candidate School in 1968. I went to Portland State, briefly...'69 brought us a baby boy (Jason) and a move from Georgia to North Carolina/82nd Airborne. 1970 brought us another baby boy (Adam) and Viet Nam! He left us in Bellevue for that year. Upon his return, we moved down to Renton to be closer to our church, Highlands Community Church, with which we have been very busy!! In 1974, we added another son, (Seth) and yet another son (Micah) in 1979! THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS!!
Now, I feel 'good and old'... Tewnty years ago, we took care of Rich's father for 4 years...now we have had my Mother for 8 years. She is nearly 93, nearly blind and has dimentia...every day is a whole new experience for her!
We have 5 grandchildren...4 boys and, finally, a Sims girl!!
We live in Kent, out in the country on 2 acres, with farm-type anilmals all around us...we have a cat that drags little critters 'home' nearly every day, and puts them into the bath tub to play with...
We are still very involved with our church and I am Politically active.
We thank God for this wonderful Nation in which we were born, and pray that we can get back on our feet again!!!
Looking forward to getting together for our reunion this Fall!
