Nancy Tabor Baur, a dear friend, writes that cancer took Carol April 24, 2008.  She is survived by her husband, Don Carlile and daughters Anita Matthews and Laura Higdon. 

'Carol was a survivor. She suffered from Crohn's Disease for many years, and was a breast cancer survivor for 7 years. Through all this adversity the smile on her face, her sweet disposition, and her fun-loving spirit remained intact."
