We were sorry to learn of Marilyn's recent passing through a posting to her Facebook page by her son which reads:
"April 3, 2015 - Mom passed away this morning in her sleep. We are doing well, Thank you."
This wonderful photo of Marilyn and her husband and our former classmate, Garry Janssen, was also posted.

I've known Marilyn since second grade and we rode the bus to school together through grade school. Just the sweetest person. I made her laugh and of course that made her especially dear to me. Though we weren’t close, just knowing she is gone creates so much sadness in my heart.
Marilyn enjoyed our having this website and I spoke with her five years ago before our 45th reunion, and learned of the horrendous struggles she endured for so many years in her long battles with cancer. But her spirit was just amazing. You had the sense that every day was special and to be lived to its fullest. My heart goes out to Garry and her family whose only comfort must be that she is no longer in pain and absent her long suffering.
