Well, it’s come and gone.  By all accounts, a very successful and enjoyable weekend.  It’s worth saying that the real success of the event was due to the classmates themselves.  There were 165 paid registrations, the vast majority classmates.  So many traveled distances, often by air, securing lodging - just to be together with childhood friends for a few hours.  How do we quantify the significance of that?

It’s hard to articulate, to be that connected after half a century.  Whether it was the Columbus Day storm, sandbagging during the flood or watching our gym burn to the ground, we all went through moments to last a lifetime.  Add to those experiences the death of a president, going off to war and the deeply rooted cries of a nation.  Our time was unique.  We all know it, and know we are special because of it.

So here’s to the Class of 1965!  We grew up together and are, therefore, forever bound.
