BORN 03/22/1947 DIED 08/27/2024 

Lawrence B. Hansen passed away at the age of 77 on Aug. 27, 2024. Larry was born in Portland on March 22, 1947. He graduated from Milwaukie High School and later from Oregon State University.

He married Mary (Inloes) Hansen and together they raised her three daughters, Allison (David), Amy (Bryan) and Erin (Jason). He had a son and daughter from a previous marriage, Joshua and Miranda.

Larry held a number of different jobs throughout his life but found his true calling and pursued an MA in theology from the University of Portland and was ordained as a priest in the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America. His work as a hospice chaplain as well as his other duties brought comfort to the grieving and joy to others starting a life together. He and his wife Mary lived a life of generosity and devotion to the needs of others. They will be and are greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary and son Joshua. He is survived by his daughters; a brother; and many friends and colleagues.

A service to celebrate Larry's life will take place Oct. 12, 2024 at Spirit of Grace Church located at 7400 SW Scholls Ferry Road in Beaverton, Ore. at 11 a.m. An open house Celebration of Life reception at the church will follow from 12 to 3 p.m.
