Graduated from U of O in 1969 with a degree in Sociology and returned to the Portland area. Since then, I've worked in a variety of different jobs and lived in a variety of different places in Oregon and now in Washington.

I've been married and divorced more than once! I've worked as a caseworker, community organizer, owned a small farm, sold insurance, worked in computer support and training and at Portland Schools in the Research and Evaluation Dept. In 1999, my husband, John and I move to the Long Beach Peninsula in WA and in 2002 our little side-line handcrafted soap business became an export business. Since then we've been manufacturing soap for a company in Japan and have had the opportunity to visit Japan on 3 occasions. It's been a very interesting journey and has allowed us to create a few jobs in our community.

Since I like new things, I ran for office in 2006 and was elected as the first woman P.U.D. Commissioner in this county. It is a fascinating industry and I loved learning all that is involved in public utilities in this state. I chose not to run again for office last year so now just focus on my business and keeping busy in the community. I lost my husband in 2017, but am fortunate to have my mother and stepfather nearby.
