Nancy Bryan Wilson

After high school I lived in California for several years before returning to the Northwest in 1970. After attending college in Southern California (San Diego City College and Orange Coast Junior College) I came to Seattle to go to the U of Washington and have been in the Seattle area ever since.

I've been married for 42 years to Larry. I have a daughter who lives with her family in Spokane and Larry and I have two sons who live in Washington with their wives. I have 7 adult grandsons who live in Eastern Washington with their families. We now have a young grandson who lives close by we spend a lot of time with. We also have 5 great granddaughters and 3 great grandsons.

I retired in 2009 after 31 years working for King County/Metro Transit and I am really enjoying the freedom retirement has given me to do what I want when I want without the restrictions a job brings. I loved my work at Metro (I ran the transit radio center) but have enjoyed the lack of responsibility since April of 2009.

I love to travel and have been to India (traveled with a group of women to Southern India) where we spent time working with orphans near the city of Madari. We also saw a lot of that part of India (Tamil Nabu and Kerala provinces) Before that I went to China (again with a group of women) spending time in Bejing, Xian, Shanghai, LiJing, Yunnan Province and remote areas near the border with Tibet, Laos and Burma. Larry and I have traveled to Greece, Spain, Portugal, England, Canada and Mexico besides much of the US including many trips to Hawaii spending time on all the islands except Lanai.

Now that I am retired most of my time and energy is spent with family and friends and I've relished the freedom being retired has given me.
